The US Women's National Team saw former Chelsea Women's manager Emma Hayes take over as the manager of the team before their June friendlies against South Korea. In her tenure as manager, the USWNT are now 11-0-1 (heading into Wednesday's match), boasting an unbeaten record and, most importantly, an Olympic Gold Medal - beating out Marta and Brazil in the final in Paris, France. Not to mention, the USMNT brought in a former Chelsea manager of their own to take over post-Gregg Berhalter (now with the Chicago Fire)... Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Racing Louisville rookie forward Emma Sears, 22, recieved her first call-up to the USWNT for this window from Hayes. In 25 matches in NWSL play this season (11 starts), the Ohio State product has recorded 5 goals and 1 assist.

In her USWNT debut on Sunday in Nashville, Sears assisted and scored in a 3-1 come-from-behind victory - becoming just the fourth player in USWNT history to assist and score in their debut.

The US Women's National Team will also celebrate Cincinnati native Rose Lavelle in Louisville for reaching 100 caps for the USWNT earlier this year. Lavelle currently sits at 106 appearances for the USWNT, making 5 in the USWNT's victorious 2024 Olympic run. Lavelle is expected to have a pregame recognition at Lynn Family Stadium prior to the USWNT's match against Argentina.

Recent H2H:

Argentina (FIFA #33): Argentina and the USWNT faced off in the CONCACAF Gold Cup earlier this year, where the USA won 4-0 thanks to an early Jaedyn Shaw brace.
