South American Clásico

The Argentine women's soccer team makes its debut in one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, the famous “She Believes Cup” competition, where for the first time since its creation in 2016, (which has the United States as the team with the most titles (3)) has two South American countries. Also, for the first time the opening match of the tournament will be between two South American teams and what better way to open, with the classic of women's soccer from South America, Argentina vs Brazil.

Argentina brings Mariana Larroquette, a new recruit for KC WoSo in the National Women Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States, and Sophia Braun, a player from Gonzaga University, who is a junior in college.

Brazil arrives with Debinha and Marta, each a star in their respective teams, NC Courage and Orlando Pride

The last match of the “Albiceleste” team was a friendly on November 12, 2019 against Colombia, where they tied 2 to 2

The “scracth” played two friendlies in November and December 2020 against the Ecuadorian team, winning the first match 6-0 and the second match 8-0.

The Argentine National Team has in its record a Copa América title and a South American Game title

The “verde amarella” team has 7 Copa América titles and a world runner-up

These two teams have met 16 times, since 1995, where it was their first meeting, with the Brazilian team being favorable with 13 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses, scoring 53 goals and only receiving 10 goals against

it will be an interesting match, Argentina is growing while Brasil needs more players to replace this great generation
