Los Angeles vs Seattle Sounders | The Western MLS cup stay’s in Los Angeles

Both team are not shy to the finals pressure and since they’ve met before and have fought hard through the tournament. Seattle Sounders and LA played during season the matches ended in a 0-0, and 3-1 win for Sounders, the teams both focused on the first half with no goals but around came second half and the mistake that opened the score bored was the lone goal by no longer Super-Sub, Dejan Joveljic to make LA win the Western Conference 1-0 after 10 years of drought.


The Galaxy broke through the first two rounds of the playoffs, winning their three matches by a cumulative score of 15-3. They are also 16-0-4 across all competitions at Dignity Health Sports Park this season.


Seattle had remained consistent-attacking and held their own we all knew that this dedicated team of Brian Schmetzer was going to be a tough team to beat especially after knocking out the local rival. Knowing that they have a history and are as important in The MLS, the match only needed one team to make the single mistake. Both teams represented and remained consistent throughout the tournament and last night.


Second half was full of fouls that were not controlled, with bad calls after bad calls the tense and cagey final was deadlocked at 0-0 until the 85th minute, when LA’s Serbian striker sent the home crowd into a frenzy with a slotted finish past Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei, assisted by a feed from Spanish superstar Riqui Puig. Although 6’ minutes were added to time it wasn’t enough for Sounders to comeback in a stadium that was more blue and gold than Green.


People had criticized LA Galaxy and the entire staff, they were crucified weekend after weekend last seasons performances, every obstacle thrown at them because of the worst season in their history. “ it feels good to be able to be here today, it was a rough journey but I praise everyone that stayed here with us, we had a lot of players leave, we had knew faces we worked with the group that stayed and we faced the challenges each day, one day at a time, one play after play.” mentioned Coach Greg Vanney we were ready to comeback this season and I think it showed on the field the entire season.


The changes were made from scattered seating fans to a sell-out crowd of 26,327 fans at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday night, “ the fans were what made this season great, we couldn’t have done it with them, we owed it to them but we’re not done yet, we have one last objective this year to still get back too. ” Also added Coach Vanney


After being asked how he felt about being the first player to ever make it to 3 MLS cups goal Keeper, https://www.mlssoccer.com/players/john-mccarthyJohn McCarthy shared “ Well we better win, also I just had a daughter, “ he praised his wife for doing all the work. McCarthy was filled with blessing this thanksgiving at home and on the field. “the job is not done yet, yes I’ll be celebrating but we will remain focus for next weeks match.” He also added.
