LA GALAXY are coming back from the desert and more than ready to take on local Neighbor LAFC in there best shape ever.

Wendy Pintor

Things are changing and MLS is growing despite there teams biggest rivalry or not, the teams are not equal, some players might not be liked and other might just want  to play. San Diego FC is closer than close to sign legendary Mexican gold medalists and champion Crack, Guillermo “Memo” Ochoa #nonemonoparty & one of the oldest franchises LA Galaxy is coming from a clean sheet on and off the field, to speculate is just an understatement, LA Galaxy is more than ready to take on this new and improved LAFC.

These two teams have been the best at one point in the league, but both teams have gone through struggle and it’s quite unpleasant to countiniueously have to write about these losses, in the participating leagues, both teams may have tactical plays we know nothing about and with that being said either two  teams can suprisee us this weekend.

Galaxy is coming back from Seattle with a Win and not just any win, it’s a win that really putting the standards high for this group. On (Saturday, March 30, 2024) - Following a 3-2 come-from-behind win on the road against Sporting Kansas City on March 23, the LA Galaxy return home to square off against Seattle Sounders FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, March 30 (7:30 p.m. PT. Saturday's match between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders FC marks the 49th meeting across all competitions between the two teams, with the Galaxy trailing the all-time series 16-19-13.

Against Seattle, the Galaxy  hold Through five matches played during the 2024 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy hold an unbeaten record of 2-0-3 (12 points; GF, 13 GA 9) and sit in second place in the Western Conference behind only Minnesota United FC (3-1-1; 10 points: 8 GF, 6 GA). The Galaxy rank first in the league in goals scored (12) behind only Inter Miam CF (13). With a goal scored against Seattle Sounders FC this weekend, the 1-0 came from a team play Dejan Joveljic who would equal Jaime Moreno's MLS record for the most consecutive games with a goal scored to begin a season (6 in 1997).

And well there really isn’t any injuries and they’re all coming in strong. Gabriel Pec tallies first career goal for club, while Joseph Paintsil and Riqui Puig both notch assists; “LA Galaxy extend six-match unbeaten run to begin 2024 MLS Regular Season and just taking in the next team.” Said Greg Vanney at yesterday’s training.

Even though the neighbors are in 9th place and almost like the tables had turned on down town LA, the teams could go north or south of LA, especially because LAFC is figuring things out with all their new changes, the problems seem to be recovering faster than expected, also adding that this is more than just an on-field rivalry. This is a fight for the hearts and souls of the people of LA. For two-plus decades, the LA Galaxy of Carson not only ruled the city, but were the example that other MLS teams aspired to be. The Galaxy paved the way for what was possible. Those lessons -- both the successes and failures -- made it easier for new teams to get things right from the beginning and from that perspective, no team has benefitted more than LAFC. In just a few years, LAFC have surpassed the Galaxy in just about every way. Now the pressure's on the Galaxy to get back up. In the standings currently but even in more culture.

Saturday’s match between the LA Galaxy and LAFC marks the 22nd edition across all competitions of El Tráfico, with the Galaxy leading the all-time series 9-7-5 (46 GF, 45 GA). Against LAFC, the LA Galaxy hold a 7-5-5 (36 GF, 36 GA) record in league play, a 0-2-0 (5 GF, 8 GA) record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 2-0-0 (5 GF, 1 GA) record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In four meetings across all competitions between the two teams during the 2023 campaign, the series was tied 2-2-0 (8 GF, 8 GA). In 10 all-time road matches played against LAFC across all competitions at BMO Stadium, the LA Galaxy hold a 2-5-3 record (21 GF, 25 GA). In the last meeting at BMO Stadium, the Galaxy fell 4-2 to LAFC on Sept. 16, 2023. In 21 all-time meetings across all competitions between the LA Galaxy and LAFC, El Tráfico averages 4.3 goals per match. LA extended its unbeaten run to six matches (3-0-3, 13 GA, 9 GA) to begin the 2024 MLS Regular Season following the 1-0 win over Seattle on March 30. The 12 points earned through the first six games to begin the season for LA ranks as the sixth best start in the team’s 29-year history in MLS. Notably, the Galaxy sit in first place in the Supporters’ Shield standings during the 2024 campaign. The LA Galaxy rank second in MLS in goals scored (13; 6 games played) behind only Inter Miami CF (14; 7 games played), and lead the league in goals scored per match (2.2).

The two teams are set on higher standards  both sides, the organization and the fans, have seen excellence and except nothing less, LAFC is coming from a 3-2 loss against Colorado away but they don’t lack goal scorers, two weeks before at home they were able to maintain a clean 5-0 sheet against 2023 MLS Champions Nashville. But one team is in a better position than the other. This can be enough heat for these teams to give the fans what they want, goals and hopefully not a tie .
